1) school girl: just throw on a gray or khaki skirt with a white or blue button down shirt tucked in. add some knee high socks and plain flats and you're good to go! the best thing about this costume is that you can wear the pieces again and again even when it's not Halloween.
(p.s.-you can turn this into a Hermione Granger costume by adding a maroon and gold striped tie and using a stick as a wand)
2)80's girl: I dressed up as this a couple years ago, and it's so much fun! just find a cheap pair of bright leggings and pull on a leotard. cover up a bit with an off-the-shoulder sweatshirt and leggings and that pretty much covers it. make sure you finish off the look with some crazy bright eye shadow and scrunchies!
3)cat: my friends did this one last year and it's adorable. some wore black and some wore leopard print leggings, with a black tee-shirt on top. they did have to buy cat ears and a tail at the party store, but that shouldn't be too expensive. draw a black circle on the tip of your nose and finish with some whiskers, and you'll bee purrrrr-fect! (sorry, that was lame)
4)fairy: this one's super easy as well. any flow-y, summer-y dress works, with pretty sandals and wings from a party store and you have your look. complete this with pretty eye makeup and a magic wand.
5)motorcycle chick: this look does require a leather (or faux) jacket, but the rest is easy. some torn up jeans (which you can do yourself!) and any slouchy tee make this look. just add some black boots and sunglasses.
Let me know if you find any of these helpful, and tell me if you think of any more DIY costumes!
