Lost in a Sea of Sameness?

For those of you who are in high school and have a homecoming dance coming up, do any of you feel as though everyone is wearing the same dress this year? I've never really noticed this before, but this year it seems as though all the girls I've talked to or heard of are wearing one of two style dresses:

a) classic, tight, black/red simple dress

b) crazy, colorful, sparkly eye-catching dress

If you read my last couple of posts, you know that I originally wanted option "b", but bought option "a"...and apparently so did a lot of other girls. Maybe it's just because it's senior year, and all the girls want to go all out for their last homecoming, or maybe it's because these are the two major trends at the moment, but I'm afraid everyone will look the same this year! Not to mention, I had literally the exact same idea as one of my friends (black dress with leopard pumps).

Looks like I'll have to search extra hard to find special shoes and accessories that'll separate me from the rest of the crowd. Wish me luck!
